Duchenne smile

This question has been following me for some days: Does smiling make your life better or easier? Ekman is one of the most outstanding psychologist of the 20th century. He has made important studies about emotions and facial expressions. Through some studies, Ekamn has discovered that the "Duchenne smile" can cause pleasant feelings in people. Maybe you wonder what Duchenne smile is?

Duchenne was a person who studied medicine, and by 1833 he started to use electricity in his profession. Trough his studies with electricity, he determined that there is a smile that results from true happiness. This kind of smile use the muscles of the mouth and eyes. This authentic smile is called "Duchenne smile" in his honor. In addition, he is recognized by his discovery of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. In other words, when we say Duchenne smile, we are talking about an authentic smile. This smile is distinguished by the crows feet (wrinkles at the outer corner of the eyes).

Smile!
Wrinkles will appear anyway.
