Hoy leí un artículo que me pareció muy interesante. Habla sobre el uso de anticonceptivos en hombre. Al parecer muy curiosamente los estudios acerca de anticonceptivos en hombre fueron detenidos debido a que causaban efectos secundarios en los hombres como modificaciones en la libido, acné y depresión. Estos mismos efectos secundarios han sido detectados en anticonceptivos que usan las mujeres pero su uso continua y no se ha detenido la producción o se ha prohibido su uso. De los riesgos de uso de anticonceptivos en mujeres es trombosis en venas, incrementa el riesgo de cáncer de mama, migrañas, dolor de cabeza, ganancia de peso, perder el periodo, tener periodos dolorosos, tener regla diaria, etc.
How sad for these poor men – they couldn’t handle the side effects that so many women have to deal with every day just to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. Women have had to bear the responsibility of contraception since the pill was first launched in 1962 – and all of the side effects that go along with it.

Women can have such ailments as depression and acne thrust upon them for the greater good of preventing an unwanted pregnancy, but the same level of discomfort cannot be expected of men. Researchers are now going to spend millions trying to alter this medication so that its side effects are lessened.
